We use our ClipperVac attachments, which install onto a regular set of clippers.  It uses suction to pull the hair away from the skin, allowing us to use a longer blade and still achieve a close cut.  A longer blade ensures that the cutting edge stays a safe distance from your pet's skin, and the constant air flow over the blade ensures that the blade doesn't over heat. 

We do not use this method on every dog.  If a dog has had past experience with sensitivity in the sanitary area, or if a client requests it, we will be happy to do it.

 

We offer nail grinding in place of, or as a complement to nail cutting.  We offer it as a free upgrade to any bath or grooming service upon request.  Walk-in nail trims cost $8-$10, nail grinds $10-$14, and nail trim with grinding $14-$20.  These prices vary based on size of the dog and degree of difficulty. 

 

 

This simply means that we recognize every breed's defining characteristics, and we bring them out in even the shortest haircut.  Having worked in many different salons ourselves, we see that too many groomers don't take your dog's breed into consideration when creating a haircut.  A cocker spaniel and a westie, while both traditionally get a short cut on the back with longer hair on the legs and skirting, have completely different clipper lines.  These lines dip and rise over the dog's body to accentuate certain characteristics such as a strong shoulder, profound chest or a defined thigh muscle.  The same principles apply to head and facial characteristics.

 

This is a soft fabric head covering that we use on dogs that are frightened of our dryer.  It does not work on every dog, a lot of our clients that try to run away from the noise of the dryer have come to be calm and accepting when wearing the Happy Hoodie.  It covers the ears and hugs them to your dog's head, preventing most of the noise from bothering him or her.
